By placing an order with HHJC Trading Pty Ltd Trading as FTC Computers/FTC Computers Online(ABN: 85 600 393 191), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out on this page. By purchasing from us, you are entering a legally binding contract between yourself as a customer and HHJC Trading Pty Ltd (trading under ftc.com.au and associated eBay accounts) as your supplier of product and services.

These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, with both parties subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. These terms and conditions cannot be changed unless agreed by HHJC Trading Pty Ltd Trading as FTC Computers/FTC Computers Online in writing or in email form.

Ordering

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the item from our website under our terms and conditions. At this point, there is no acceptance by FTC Computers to supply any product. FTC Computers reserves the right to refuse service; terminate service; remove or edit contents; or cancel and refund an order at their sole discretion. If your order cannot be accepted or processed, you will be contacted by email or phone.

You must be at least 18 years of legal age to order products from FTC Computers. By agreeing to the terms and conditions and ordering from us, you are acknowledging that you are 18 years old or above. You must also elect to have products sent to an Australian postal address as we do not ship overseas at this time.

Currency, GST and Price

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). All prices are not inclusive of shipping cost. Shipping cost is shown separately and is calculated based on your location and product type unless otherwise stated Free Shipping Included. No refund will be applicable if a product you have purchased becomes available at a lower price. We reserve the right to change the price on our advertised products without any prior notice. This is one of the ways we update and keep our prices competitive at all times.

If you are a registered user, you can log in to your account to view the current status of your order. When our orders are dispatched, you will receive an auto-generated email from us indicating the courier company we used, as well as the associated tracking number. We reserve the rights to choose a most appropriate shipper for each item without advise in advance. If you did not receive the item within the estimated delivery period and the tracking number provided is not helping, please contact us. All items will be delivered to the shipping address provided unless otherwise agreed in writing by both of us. FTC Computers will take due care to dispatch your order within the estimated dispatch time frame provided in our listing.

The estimated shipping time frame is 1-6 business days after dispatch, depending on the shipping address and is subject to the limitations of our third party delivery companies. As such, we do not guarantee that the item will be delivered within the estimated delivery time frame. Unless you have opted for postal insurance, we cannot guarantee you will be compensated for any loss or damage in transit. The decision to compensate for a lost of damaged parcel will depend on the third party courier. However all free shipping items will be covered for damage or lose in transit without additional cost.

  • VIC: 2-5 business days after dispatch
  • QLD regional: 2-6 business days after dispatch

  • NT: 4-6 business days after dispatch
  • TAS: 3-6 business days after dispatch
Postal Insurance

To protect your parcel during transit from our warehouse to your order’s shipping address, please postal insurance by choosing Australia Post eParcel + Insurance Cover during checkout. This will cover your parcel for any loss or damage in transit. Once our delivery company confirms that they cannot locate the parcel, or cannot provide proof of delivery, we will send you a replacement unit or provide you with a full refund. For items damaged in transit, you should advise us within one business day of receiving the item and email a photo of the damaged product and packaging. Once we arrange the return of the damaged product, we will send you a replacement unit or provide you with a full refund. We strongly recommend customers to purchase postal insurance for their orders. FTC Computers will not assume any responsibility for parcels that are lost or damaged in transit if your order is not covered by our postal insurance.

FTC Computers currently only accepts payment methods mentioned below:

1. Paypal
  • Use as direct transfer from your Paypal account to our paypal account; or
  • Use as a payment gateway and pay by Visa or Mastercard.

Payment will only be processed when all necessary information is provided. Please make sure you have assisted in providing the correct information on all necessary fields. PayPal and credit card payments are processed instantly the moment you click confirm order button. If the payment has been processed, verified and confirmed by PayPal, we will send you a payment confirmation email along with the tax invoice attached.

We accept Bank Card, Master Card, Visa and American Express. We do not accept Diners Club. Credit cards attract a 1% Surcharge. Orders paid by credit card can only be collected by the card holder and signed in person, orders being dispatched can only be made through our secure website. Credit cards are not accepted by phone.

Electronic Transfer will take 2 to 5 working days for payment confirmation. Please take this into consideration when you choose this payment method.

Our business hours are between Monday to Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm, excluding QLD public holidays. Orders made during the weekend or public holiday will not be processed until the next business day.

Warranty
Warranty

Without prejudice and to the extent allowed by the Trade Practices Act 1974, The Australian Consumer Law and Competition and Consumer Act 2010, all hardware sold by FTC Computers is covered by minimum one year limited warranty and is also backed by Australian manufacturer warranty. Where the manufacturer warranty period exceeds one year, we will advise the customer to contact the manufacturer directly for warranty support after the first year of purchase. Due to the nature of consumables products and software, they are not returnable or refundable items.

Any defective products purchased from FTC Computers and affiliates that fall within the warranty period provided will be covered, unless they fall within the following conditions:

  • Physical Damage on the product not caused in the event during transit or Dead on Arrival (DOA) but caused due to mishandling, incorrect use of product for its purposes, improper installation of product, by accident, insect or vermin infestation, improper method or failure to maintain service and handle the item with reasonable care.
  • The product has been modified using unauthorised methods. Any modifications on the product including physical and software modifications using third party unauthorised software such as third party firmware updates will void the warranty of products.
  • The warranty seal or serial number of the item has been tampered with.
  • The item has been serviced by another party other than ftc.com.au
  • Consequential loss including but not limited to data, programs, software or other information stored on storage products, computer or laptop systems.
  • Software or activation codes

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

It is acknowledged that you are aware and have accepted these terms and conditions when you purchase from our website.

Credits in “My Account”

From time to time, there may be situations where we need to provide a credit due to promotions rebate or replacement of products.

Vouchers and Coupons

If you receive or purchase a voucher from us, it will appear in your “My account” page. This is another form of credit offered by FTC Computers that can be applied towards the payment of orders under the terms and conditions of each voucher issued. Vouchers are applied towards the payment before any other form of payments. Any excess of vouchers may be used for subsequent orders depending on the terms and conditions of voucher issued. Any balance remaining on the order after applying the voucher in your account, need to be paid off using other payment methods outlined in the payment methods section above.

Change of Mind Returns

If you change your mind about a purchase, it is at our discretion whether we accept a return for refund. We will generally accept a return provided you contact us within 7 days of receiving the product, the product is in their original condition, and the product is not a consumable or software. Change of mind returns will only be eligible for a refund on the product’s sale price with 10% restocking fee applied. If the product is not in its original condition but deemed resaleable by FTC Computers, we may accept a return for refund and deduct 30% of the sales value from the final refund amount. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the customer. In the case of free shipping items, a $15 postage fee will be demerited from the total refund. In purchasing our products, it is acknowledged that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions.

Privacy of your personal information

Your personal information is treated with the greatest of care by FTC Computers. We use best practices to protect and keep your personal information provided by you strictly confidential. Our privacy policy explains how your personal information is handled with care by FTC Computers in more details.

Credit Card Fraudulence and Protection

We take the greatest of care to prevent credit card frauds by employing the latest SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology software for our payment checkout system to process our order. Our fraud prevention department may email you requesting for a copy of your credit card along with your driver’s license in the event that we receive information that the order could be a potential fraudulent or unauthorised activity. The information you provide will be destroyed after verification purpose is completed. If this happens, you need to assist and provide the information required to us within 7 days and your orders will not be processed until it passes the verification. If you fail to provide the required information, your order will be cancelled and your payment refunded back to the original account of purchase. While we take reasonable care and measures to prevent credit card fraud, we are not responsible for any damages or consequential loss (direct or indirect) suffered by our customers whose credit card has been used for fraudulent activity or been used in an unauthorised manner.

A further credit card payment confirmation might be requested before the confirmation of your order which we randomly under charge a certain amount of money on your credit card and we might ask you to confirm the exact amount charged against your credit card statement to avoid the growing online credit card payment fraudant.

Limited Liability

FTC Computers and its affiliates will not be liable for any loss of income, loss of profits, loss of contracts, loss of data, or any indirect loss of damage or consequential loss in any event including negligence or breach of contracts. The maximum liability for any product we sell to you shall be equal to the price you have paid for the product, and no higher value than that.

FTC Computers does not accept liability for the following conditions, to the extent permitted by applicable laws:

  • Any damage or injury of any nature caused when using our purchased product, whether in the correct or incorrect way.
  • Any errors in our listing
  • Any unauthorised access to our secure server
  • Any warranty policies or representations regarding the quality, accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for purchase of any product maintained by non-affiliated website that are link to our website, including manufacturer’s website
  • Any spyware, viruses, Trojan horses or other harmful codes transmitted to the website by any third party.
Statutory and Warranty

Order Amendment or Cancellation – requested by customer

We cannot guarantee changes to your order can be made once it has been paid for. An order cannot be amended or cancelled without prior written approval from FTC Computers. Changing of shipping address, product or quantity after you have paid are examples of amendments that need prior approval from us. You may not assume that we have to do so upon receiving your request. We reserve the right to approve or reject any requests for order amendment or cancellation based on your reasons; whether the time you provided for us to make the amendment or cancellation is reasonable; and presence of any delay from our side causing this request. Please note that while your emails are important to us, they may not be read immediately after they are sent, so we do not assume responsibility for amending or cancelling on grounds that you emailed us shortly after paying for the order. If your order has already been shipped, you may return your order in accordance with our Warranty Returns Policy. We may also charge additional shipping costs if we need to resend your parcel for reasons including but not limited to the customer's change of mind, an incorrect address, the parcel being unclaimed or a purchase made in error.

Order Cancellation – by FTC Computers

We reserve the right to cancel orders any time at our own discretion. If you have already paid for the order, we will issue a full refund or offer an equivalent or substitute product to you at the price agreed by both sides. If a product becomes unavailable, we may cancel the order and either offer you a substitute model or refund your payment as soon as possible.

Accuracy of Information

Although we endeavour to take all reasonable steps to ensure that information published on our website is correct, our system is not fail safe and errors can occur. As such, information may change without prior notice. FTC Computers will not hold liability for advertising incorrect information caused by a system failure or manufacturer error.

Refunds

Refunds will only be made to the original Paypal or bank account of purchase. If you paid with credit card, the refund will be made to the linked Paypal account. If you do not have a Paypal login, you can contact your credit card issuer for more details. A maximum purchase limit by unit may be imposed.

Promotions

Promotions by HHJC Trading Pty Ltd trading as FTC Computers/FTC Computers Online are deemed to be finished when stock runs out or the promotion period expires, whichever comes first. A maximum purchase limit by unit may be imposed.

What is the process for complaining about a breach of privacy?

If you are concerned with the way your personal information has been handled then you are entitled to make a complaint. If you would like to lodge a complaint, please provide details of the incident so that we can investigate it.

Our Privacy Officer will endeavour to resolve your complaint within a timely manner, and deal with your complaint as follows:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your complaint and provide you with a reasonable timeframe for resolving your complaint;
  • Liaise with relevant departments within Computer Alliance, who may assist in resolving your complaint; and
  • Provide you with our reasoning of how your complaint has been dealt with.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint, we will advise you to make further inquiries, or make a complaint directly with the Privacy Commissioner.
